| Grandchildren and cookies—a perfect match!When my grandchildren come to visit one of their most requested treats from ‘Momma Sue’, is a twist on the perennial childhood favourite—the peanut butter sandwich—but using the brand new product of chocolate and peanut butter already mixed in a jar. As we prepared to make cookies together one afternoon, I satisfied their craving for chocolate peanut butter by substituting it in my cookie recipe. Mmmmm, maybe chopped peanuts would be good. A search of the pantry uncovered a jar of honey-roasted peanuts. WOW! are these ever good cookies! Enjoy. Now we will be making them for Christmas gifts. |

| 1/2c chocolate peanut butter 1/2 c butter 1/2c white sugar 1/2 c brown sugar 1 egg 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/2tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 1 1/4 c flour 1/2 c honey roasted peanuts, slightly crushed |
| Step by Step |
| Preheat oven to 375 F 1) Mix peanut butter and butter. 2) Add sugar, egg and vanilla. 3) Gradually add all remaining ingredients to sugar mixture. 4) Roll dough in 1†balls. 5) Place about 2†apart on ungreased cookie sheet. 6) Press flat with floured fork. 7) Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. 8) Remove from baking sheets immediately. 9) Serve and Enjoy! 36 cookies |
